Marketing Tip: Use door drops to promote your business

Door drops are a cost-effective way to get your message across if you are selling to consumers. With the right design, they can be highly memorable and eye-catching.

With the right call-to-action, they can generate a response. In a Royal Mail survey, 59% of people went on to visit the company’s website to find out more information. 37% of people visited a store.

Popular with restaurants, charities, estate agents, tradespeople and financial services door drop mail gets over the difficulties of having to create a mailing list which is GDPR compliant. Target the area you wish to promote in and use an unaddressed door drop to promote your message.

There are companies who will do the door drop for you (including Royal Mail), but also consider local village newsletters who often may allow door drops to be included.

Make your leaflet stand out with compelling copy, maybe a unique die-cut shape and have a prominent call to action (I.e. make it clear what you want the recipient to do once they have read it).
