Keep your website secure with a SSL certificate

Web security is a big topic in the news at the moment and people are more aware of keeping their details secure and protected. As a website owner you can help increase the level of trust between you and your visitors by purchasing a SSL certificate. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer (bet you didn’t know that!).

SSL creates an encrypted connection between your website and your visitors’ web browser allowing for private information to be transmitted securely. When you visit a secure website with a SSL certificate you will notice a padlock appears in the address bar and the URL will change from http:// to https:// (the S stands for secure!).

Google has recently confirmed that having a SSL certificate is one of their ranking factors. We have recently installed SSL certificates on a number of our client websites and have monitored them for a few months. Early indications are that these sites have had improved visitor numbers.

Contact us today if you would like us to secure your website with the installation of a SSL certificate.
