New Charity website launched

We are pleased to have recently launched a new charity website for The Women’s Aid Centre in Bury St Edmunds who recently won our competition for a free website for their charity.

BBC Radio Suffolk presenter, Etholle George, who is a patron of the Women’s Refuge, pressed the button to make the site go live and the site can be seen at www.burystedmundswomensaid.org.uk.

In designing the site we took into account how potential users would visit the website and ensured that it was suitable to be viewed on mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. People who are suffering from domestic abuse often have to hide their tracks so their partners don’t know they are seeking help so a button was included on the website where visitors can leave the site quickly and the browser automatically displays a different page in order to protect them.

A website can make a tremendous difference to a charity both in terms of providing help and support and raising awareness. We are delighted to have been able to have helped The Women’s Aid Centre and hope to run a similar competition in the future.
